Annie Wright Installs a New Bike Rack

Annie Wright installed a new bike rack on April 30 to encourage students, faculty and staff to use alternate modes of transportation to school each day. The bike rack is one of many new initiatives put in place by the Annie Wright Green Team, a group of dedicated staff and faculty committed to making our community more sustainable.

Installed just in time for National Bike Month, the bike rack will help members of the AWS community who are competing in the annual Pierce County Bike Commuter Challenge. The rack holds up to 12 bikes and is conveniently located next to the Circle Drive at the 10th Street Entrance. It has already seen quite a bit of use, despite the recent rainy days.
