Upper School Students Receive Varsity Letters in Community Service

Each year, United Way of Pierce County partners with Pierce County schools to recognize and reward students for their volunteer efforts in the community.

Students who volunteer 145 hours or more of service in a year can earn a school Varsity Letter, the same as those earned by athletes and musicians. Applicants must meet all requirements and guidelines and approved by the school’s Service Learning Director.

We are pleased to announce that Karina Chan ’14, Samantha Marie Gabales ’14 and Hana El Safoury ’15 each received Varsity Letters for Community Service for the 2013-2014 school year.

Students who wish to apply for the Varsity Letter of Community Service for the 2014-2015 school year should send inquiries to Tiffany Shaw.
